Roleplay Rules

The baseline guidelines every player must follow while roleplaying in a KSRP session.

Evidence

Evidence is essential when reporting a player. Staff cannot assist without a video or screenshot.

  • Accepted formats: video and/or screenshots (Medal, OBS, hardware recording).
  • Moderators may accept a screenshare in a VC such as the Lounge VC.
  • Witnesses and kill-logs are usually not accepted as proof.

Reporting Staff & Appeals

  • Open a Report ticket in the communications server with full evidence and statements.
  • Management handles major reports; Supervision handles minor reports.
  • Request your logs via ticket, per KSRP guidelines.
  • Ban appeals go through the website. ToS violation bans are NOT appealable.
  • You can view your logs using Melonly.

Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

Shooting at, or repeatedly/unnecessarily colliding with, another vehicle.

  • Any shooting at a vehicle counts as VDM.
  • LEOs may not shoot at fleeing vehicles (PIT allowed) unless the suspect poses serious bodily harm or death to an officer or civilian.
  • Deadly force is only allowed to the extent required to stop serious bodily injury.

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

Randomly shooting at or killing someone with no roleplay intent or in an unrealistic manner. Use-of-Force violations fall under this rule.

  • Randomly entering a roleplay and shooting - even to 'save someone' - counts as RDM.
  • Killing Fire/EMS without a validated reason will result in a kick.

No Intent to Roleplay (NITRP)

Being in a session to troll, or staying in an area with no roleplay intent.

  • Camping in a safe-zone without roleplaying can count as NITRP (AFK players excluded).
  • Repeatedly disrupting roleplays or being completely unrealistic is NITRP.
  • Punishable with a ban - a verbal warning may be given first depending on the situation.
  • You cannot refuse a MedRP if EMS is online. Saying 'my vest caught it' to evade counts - moderators will not heal you.

Fail Roleplay (FRP)

Replicate every scene as closely to real life as you physically can with the resources available, while abiding by ROBLOX and KSRP Terms of Service.

Water Evading

  • You cannot flee into a river or lake on foot.
  • Max swim time is roughly 30 seconds and you must stay at the surface.

Radio Spam

  • Do not spam the RTO with panic/backup requests.
  • Do not misuse the RTO for anything other than LEO operations.
  • Do not talk on the radio after being shot and downed.
  • Misuse results in a warning and temporary removal from the team.

Inappropriate Callsigns

  • Callsigns must vaguely align with real-life standards (e.g. '1A-72').
  • Random letters/numbers are not permitted.
  • Violations: verbal warning and temporary removal from the team.

GTA Driving

  • Driving on the wrong side of the road with intent.
  • Driving off-road unrealistically with intent.
  • Excessive speeding (30+ over the limit) with no RP reason.
  • Intentionally cutting someone off with no RP reason.
  • Violations result in a warn under GTA Driving.

Jumping While Shooting

  • Bunny-hopping to dodge bullets is not permitted.
  • Violations result in a warning under FRP.

Refusing Detain Requests

  • Denying or ignoring a detain request is a violation (AFK excepted).
  • If denied, LEOs should contact an in-game moderator.
  • If no moderator responds in time, proceed to jail with video evidence of the denial.
  • Violations result in a warning under FRP and an auto-jail.

Unauthorised Breaching

  • Breaching in hostage situations is only allowed when the suspect is well clear of the hostage.
  • Not permitted if the suspect is too close to the hostage.
  • Violations: verbal warning / warning / kick under FRP.

Cop Baiting

  • False 911 calls via the in-game phone.
  • Purposely breaking traffic laws with no intent in front of cops.
  • Doing 'donuts' in front of cops.
  • Excessively shooting near LEOs with no RP intent.
  • Violations: warning / kick under Cop Baiting.

Unrealistic Avatars

  • Avatars must remain blocky - no layered, UGC, or overly customised bodies.
  • No overly exaggerated accessories.
  • No animals, furries, creatures, insects, or robots.
  • Height must be roughly regular - slight variance is fine if it does not break immersion.
  • Restricted: 3D avatars, troll avatars, furry avatars, unrealistic items, shoulder buddies, inappropriate avatars, impersonation avatars, and profanity-based avatars.
  • Violations: verbal warning to change, then a kick if not corrected.

Discord
Communications Server

Discord Regulations

Baseline guidelines every member must follow inside the KSRP communications server and its departments. By joining, you agree to these regulations.

Some rules are not listed here. You can still be warned or kicked even if a rule is not written down. Use common sense when communicating.

Type a keyword to filter the regulations.

Tap a card to expand its rules. Only one card can be open at a time.

  • Follow the Discord Terms of Service at all times.
  • Breaking Discord ToS may result in a ban here and suspension from Discord itself.
  • No advertising other communities, servers, or games.
  • You may promote your own department to an extent.
  • Do not send ANY invite links other than KSRP - staff may bypass this for department invites.
  • Light swearing is tolerated - do not constantly or deliberately swear in public channels.
  • No images that violate Discord ToS (gore, NSFW, etc.).
  • No slurs or words that disrespect a protected identity.
  • Do not discuss controversial political matters in public channels.
  • Avoid topics that lead to harmful debates or arguments.
  • No repeated pings and no spam in public channels.
  • Wick Automation will instantly mute offenders.
  • Repeated offenses will be escalated.
  • Abide by staff requests and topic changes.
  • Failure to comply results in a warning; repeated offenses will be escalated.
  • Report violations through the appropriate channels or via a ticket.
  • Do not escalate the situation yourself, or you may be punished as well.
  • Do not report incidents you fully know do not violate KSRP or Discord ToS.
  • Do not ping staff in a ticket unless 12 hours have passed with no response.
  • Stay on-topic within tickets.
  • Do not abuse the ticket system.
  • Do not open multiple tickets for the same reason.
  • Do not bring drama from other communities into KSRP.
  • Report any violations to the relevant assistance team.
  • Do not stir drama about KSRP inside or outside the server.
  • Outside-server incidents are only moderated if they directly impact the main server.
  • Do not attempt to bypass bot features.
  • Report bugs/glitches via a ticket or bug-reports channel depending on severity.
  • Abusing bugs results in a permanent ban from the KSRP Network.
  • No disrespect toward any KSRP members or departments.
  • This includes messages, images, or content that directly attacks an entity.
